Media relations

Our media relations' service is incredibly effective. Powerful Media Disk software is used to create targeted media lists. Lists are sorted by industry sector, category, State, geographical region and town. Many of our media lists are predefined 'ready to go'. Instantaneously, copy and image files are sent to the verified email address of the editors. For key publications, we often ring the editors to lobby an articles newsworthiness.

Newsprint editorial

The big difference with our newsprint copy is that it gets published. This season alone we have had varied client editorial and imagery published in the WA Farm Weekly, the SA Stock Journal, the Land, Qld Country Life, the Weekly Times and numerous regional and local publications. There are reasons for our high publication rate.

Firstly, we get the story. More often we act on no more than a obscure field rep or distributor lead. We dig!

Secondly, we aim to write a newsworthy story merging agricultural science, a product technical attributes in concert with the farmers management practice. Farmers talk with us because we converse on their level and being a practiced agronomist helps.

Thirdly, rural press media trust our submitted content for technical and agronomic accuracy, newsworthiness and relevance.

Fourth, we make use of specialist media software that enables editorial content and imagery to be sent direct to numerous newsprint and magazine editors ulitising pre-defined media lists.

Finally, all our imagery is supplied retouched for newsprint pixel perfect. We also maintain a rural image library and undertake our own on-farm photography.

Above is a cut from a storyboard for a TVC that RuralBrand produced. RuralBrand project managed the whole gig, including AV production, directing and writing the voice-over script. We also put it to air.

Print advert accompaning a TVC campaign. The rootball image was produced by digging up a space plant, washing out the roots, then suspending the plant mid-air with fishing line. It was then photographed against a white sheet so we could etch out the detail.
